Almost any corners of the travel destination, you can easily find people are capturing images. It is not a new thing ever since the phone have got the camera and the phone itself is affordable for most of us, becoming a sudden photographer is somehow experienced by many of us. And what about you, anyway?
You are capturing images as well and telling yourself that you are freezing the moments, right?
You are a liar! You keep on telling people what they never want to hear and you don’t believe yourself as well. You can barely say that you are the hypocrite narcissistic or you may not realising that is the truly you are.
Whatever the real issue is, you are one of them who will getting the phone out of your bag and start photographing things at the travel destination including to capture your full face and then uploads it on Instagram and captioned as “ignore the face.” What a moron!
Capturing images is good but that can also be your enemy
Have you been read about FoMO (Fear of Missing Out) before? It is a psychological syndrome whose the sufferers do not want to be left behind when its come to something that becoming trending, to keep acknowledge while sharing information through social media so people can see that she or he-for example is spending the holidays at beautiful places.
This kind of syndrome surely will be found mostly on millennials that keep on sharing things even the useless ones. If we have to see how it is relating to the traveling lifestyle, when the Gen-Z are visiting the new destination, they will be seen so busy capturing the spot in every unimaginable angles as they want.
Then, a problem will be appeared. They are no longer enjoy the destination as they should. I am afraid that they will have a less chance to enjoy the warming sunset at afternoon, do does the beautiful of nature before their eyes, the refreshing air, togetherness with friends and family and many more.
I am afraid that they don’t experience those all, the things that should be the main benefits of the traveling itself.
But the thing is that, somehow they don’t really fear of missing out of all of that. They keep on capturing images and some of them will directly upload the chosen ones on Instagram. In the other hands, the other people may are disturbed by what they are doing. The view can be covered by them, there will be a noise pollution since they seem “enjoy” theirselves, and many more things that can be the disturbance for the others.
That’s why I am telling you that capturing images or your camera can be your own enemy without you are realising about that. It is find when you are taking some images when traveling, but when it is the only thing you can do while knowing that it won’t be your photography project and you are not even a photographer, I am afraid that you must be fear of missing all of the beautiful moments at the destination.
Overall, camera have nothing mistakes at all. You are the one who are deciding whether you want to brings and uses it.
